BX Dance (formerly Bex Crew) was established in 2007 by dancer and choreographer Rebecca Alfano. We offer training in Streetdance, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Gym and Zumba. Classes are available in Hitchin, Letchworth & Stotfold for students aged 2yrs to adult who love music and love to move.
BX Dance offers classes for beginners to advanced level with a strong boy and girl student base. Our classes focus firstly on having fun, whilst getting fit and learning a new talent and our aim is to make dance accessible to all in our community at an affordable price. We offer dance training in a professional and safe environment, and our relevant and high quality training in technique and performance skills helps build confidence and improve the ability of individuals. BX Dance gives students the tools they need to simply grow as an individual or if they wish to compete at national and international level, take part in local and national shows and gain industry recognised qualifications in dance which can be taken onto professional dance college training and a career in dance.
So whether you or your child wants to dance for fun, get fit and make friends in a weekly class, push themselves to be in music videos, commercials, shows or compete at national and international competitions BX Dance is for them. Please contact us on email@example.com on how to get involved and we look forward to you joining the team soon.
Bex is the principal and founder of BX Dance. She teaches BX Tots, BX Zumba and BX dance and crew classes. She trains students from 2yrs to adult in all street styles and oversees all classes.
I have danced since the age of 6 and still get the same enjoyment today from dance that I got as a child. Classically trained in Ballet and Modern up to Advanced standard with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Assoc.) and a fully Qualified IDTA teacher and Championship grade dancer in Street Dance & Disco Freestyle. I am a member of Street Dance International and was trained to teach by their Founder and Chairperson, Jane Hollis. I thank her for making me the teacher I am today, for guiding me and being my mentor.
Throughout my career I have always wanted to improve and push myself in the art of dance and over the years have learnt new styles and techniques to better myself and keep up to date with what is current and in demand in the modern dance world. Over the years I have gone from being a performer to choreographer, teacher and now school principal. I have taken part in shows, competitions, corporate events, music videos and promos. I know what’s involved, the amount of work, passion and commitment needed to succeed and I share this with my students. When I am teaching if I can make someone smile and enjoy dance like I do my job is always done.
Nathan teaches Street dance and Lyrical to student’s 7yrs+ at BX Dance. He is part of our show squad training team and runs our popular boys only classes.
I decided to get into teaching and joined the BX Crew team a few years ago.. Formally in a group named Majestix we travelled the UK opening shows for music artists such as Florida, Katy B, Mz Brat. We performed at corporate functions and nightclubs and backed music videos. As we got older our responsibilities meant we had to go our separate ways, but my love for dance never changed.
I decided to get into teaching and joined the BX Crew team. Through my teaching and choreographing for younger students I believe I’ve grown as a dancer and I am really focused on my trade. I continue to be inspired by great dancers such as The S**t Kingz, Shaun Evaristo & The Kinjaz and continually push myself to be more creative with my work. I feel teaching allows me to pass on the knowledge I’ve gained along the way to help those that are on there own journey.
Nikita teachers Street dance to student’s 4yrs+ at BX Dance. She is heavily involved with the competitive side of the school and choreographs and teaches our two U12 competitive groups.
Since I was 5 my favourite thing to do was dance, I would create little routines and dance around to the TV music channels. After joining Bex crew in my early teens my confidence grew, as did my passion for the arts, and since then all I have wanted to do is act, dance and perform.
Over the last 10yrs I have achieved numerous dance awards, and accreditations with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and have reached championship grade at competitive level in Street Dance. I am lucky enough to have taken part in many theatre performances and dance shows nationally and I am proud to have a BA Hons degree in Performing Arts. I feel there’s nothing better than sharing your passion and what you have learnt with others, especially the BX family!
